The Tianshan Ultra takes 3F UL Gear's Tianshan pack and builds it from Ultra200X, a tough, highly waterproof fabric, with UltraTNT waterproof tape on the seams. The result weighs just 980g but still has a proper suspension system for carrying multi-day loads. This version has the larger hip belt for waists over 75cm.
Why we rate it
- Just 980g
- Ultra200X fabric with taped seams for serious weather resistance
- Proper suspension system, not a frameless sack
- Larger hip belt for waists over 75cm
Is it right for you?
- Great for: long-distance walkers and ultralight backpackers who want a waterproof pack without the weight.
- Look elsewhere if: you don't need the extra weatherproofing. The standard Tianshan backpack is made from UHMWPE grid nylon.
