The Petzl Tikka is the head torch we'd put in every pack. At 94g and 350 lumens it's bright enough for night walking and simple to use with a single button. It runs on three AAA batteries (included), so you can top up anywhere, or switch to Petzl's CORE rechargeable battery later.
