X Boil Alcohol Burner is available in the Ultralight 55mm burner or the Standard 70mm Burner.
Both take a full 30ml bottle of fuel, so however much you're carrying, that's exactly what they're built for. In good conditions, expect to use around 15ml of alcohol to boil 500ml of water, and around 30ml for a full litre. Fuel consumption is the same across both burners, so it's not really a question of which uses less. The Standard is simply bigger and burns hotter, so it'll bring water to the boil faster. For summer trips the Ultralight is more than capable; if you're melting snow in winter, go for the Standard.
Both units are lined with Graphite Felt that absorbs the spirit, which means it won't leak if turned upside down.
